Mining Impact

Two weeks ago Daddy had a job at Sumbawa (Sekongkang). Daddy’s teaching about an entrepreneurship to some resident of Sekongkang. When Daddy come back from Sumbawa, he brings some delicicious food and all of them made from Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is processed into nata de coco, dodol and candies. I can’t believe I eat Aloe Vera, but truly all of them are so tasty. I hide some dodol and candies at my room. Xixixixixixi…..

Btw, talking about Sumbawa you must know about PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT). Sumbawa island famous of it’s mine material, such as gold, tin, etc. Newmont is the largest mining company at Sumbawa and offcourse our peoples are proud working at there. Not like working at a government office, working at Newmont have a big salary. All peoples just thinking about money and money. But can you even imagining about the mining impact to the peoples, animals and the environment around there? If dont, just take a look those photos below :

The soil becomes infertile for the plants. You can see some rotten chilis. Peoples are eaten those unhealty food. O..God!!!

And look at this goat photos. Are you happy seeing those goat suffered?? Just imagine, if you traveling at Sumbawa and you eat Sate or another food which made from those goat meat. Yieeekksss!!!

When I saw this big hole picture, whoaaaa…that was a giant hole at there. Btw, what will Newmont or the government do to this big hole??? I stil considering. If they want to fulfill this giant hole with the sea water, how many gallons of sea water they need?? Does it cause contamination or not?? Or maybe if they want to fulfii this giant hole with rain water, how long that hole was filled with rain water?? According to the rainfall on this area, I think we need 1.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 years to see this hole becoming a big swimming pool. Fantastic!!!

I don’t want to blame all of you and I don’t want to point a finger at you whose working at there. Just thinking the negative impact  for our environment, especially ours peoples around there. I know, we got a lot of money if we working at there, but it’s not comparable what will we get on the future. There are so many children living at Sumbawa island, we should protecting them. Do not destroy their future because they are the future of Indonesia.
