Ogoh-Ogoh April 2009

Ogoh-ogoh, the Hindu festival that will celebrated every one year exatly every the Saka Year (Hindu year). I can’t wait any longer to see this festival again and again. Last year I saw this Ogoh-ogoh festival with my ex BF (husband), mom and my sister.

Ogoh-ogoh is the Hindu festival to celebrated the biggest Hindu ceremony called Nyepi. All of Hindu’s people at Lombok Island with their own Banjar (a group of Hindu’s peope in a particular area) will make a Ogoh-ogoh. Every Banjar have a great design, they have a wonderful Ogoh-ogoh.

Usually Ogoh-ogoh based on a Butha Kala, Butha Kala is a demon or devil. They have a scary face as you see on those photos.

I dunno exatly what those Butha Kala name on photo above. The left one looks like a King Kong, funny King Kong with a red lip color. What lip color brand he wore. He looks more pretty with a flowers as his headband. The green one looks like a dragonfly, so unique. This is the first time I saw if a drangonfly have many hair on their bald head. Btw, those Ogoh-ogoh made by a kids. Wow…They have a great talented!!! Oughh I can’t waiting of this Ogoh-ogoh festival next year………
